Only 2 days remaining before the much anticipated first
ever “Los Cabos Maraton 2017”. With over 2000 local, national and international
runners expected.
The race will kick off at 4pm this Saturday, Jan 21st.
Aptly named Bbeat the Sunset” the
objective really is to try and complete your race before the sunset. Maximum
time allowed for runners will be 6 hours. But don’t worry if you are lagging a
bit behind - there will be transport provided to collect all stragglers and anyone
too distracted by the beautiful views….
And you don’t have to be a super-fit athlete to compete. It
is a multi-distance event with the options to run 5km, 10km, 21km, or the full
46km. There is even a mini-marathon for kids.
But the marathon is not just about running and keeping
fit. All funds raised will go to a number of local Cabo charities and foundation.
All really great, worthwhile causes - you can pick one when your register.
Registration closes today
at 3pm - so best be quick.
And for those of you already in town, there are plenty of
warm up activities at the “Expo Maraton” - providing all the pre-event preparation
and advice you could wish for. From yoga and stretching to nutrition and hydration.
It is taking place today and tomorrow (19 and 20 Jan) from 10.00 – 19.00.
