Things To Do In Cabo

Spas and Wellness Centers

Spas. Spas. And more spas. There are lots of them in Cabo.

But this is one instance in which quality does not decrease with quantity. In fact, quite the reverse is true. In recent years Cabo’s spas have gone from strength to strength, becoming increasingly more sophisticated, personalised and luxurious.

Spa Experience

The whole spa experience has evolved into something much more than the odd massage or pedicure. Wellness – is the broader concept, that spas now seek to promote. Combining therapies, treatments, massage, and exercise to create a more holistic health approach.

Signature treatments

Most hotels and resorts now have their own spas. And many of them are award-winning, world renowned facilities. Vying for ever more original “signature” treatments has led to endless options.

One spa may offer the rituals of the ancient Temazcal darkened steam lodge, to balance body mind and spirit; another may focus on invigorating, detoxifying citrus rubs and deep tissue massage; and yet another may deliver the ultimate soothing and relaxing therapies with carefully selected native herbs, flowers and oils.

Whether you are a top-class athlete, a busy working mom, or someone who simply wants to be pampered, Cabo’s spas will have something just for you.

Ever wondered how spas came to be?

Before jumping in that plunge pool, or surrendering to that soothing massage, it might be good to know where spas come from, and what they were originally for…

Turns out that Spas have been used since the Bronze Age. Apparently, since time immemorial  people all over the world, in all sorts of cultures, believed that bathing in a particular spring resulted in physical and spiritual purification.

Even now we still witness water purification rituals in many religious ceremonies of Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims and Hindus. Many civilizations built temples around these springs because it was a central part of their lives.

Today spas are still used for physical, mental and spiritual treatments. Plus, of course, a significant dose of the “feel good” factor.

Cabo’s spas can provide all the above. In abundance.

Find yours. And enjoy it.

Preferably with an ocean view, and a Margarita (just a bit more exhilarating than a green tea)!

But choosing a spa can be hard - there are so many. Just to help you get started we have pulled together a pretty good mix of Cabo spas. Not an exhaustive list, but definitely a good start.

Perhaps you want to find a resort with a spa. Use out handy interactive resort map to help you.
