It’s been a busy week so far for Cabo’s local Naval Search
and Rescue Team. With two successful
saves already, and it’s only Wednesday.
The first was last Saturday. When they successfully
transferred a 65-year-old German woman -
reported to be in a pretty delicate condition - safely off a yacht and
into hospital.
And the second was on Monday. After responding to an
emergency call, the team successfully rescued a local 31-year male from the sea.
The man had been dragged by the current further out to sea, just off the beach
of Playa Santa Maria. Fortunately, in this case, only first aid was required.
Well done again to Cabo’s Search and Rescue Team for taking
such good care of everyone.
And please, take care on Cabo’s beaches. Beautiful and
tempting as they are, there are often fierce currents and swimming is not
always advisable.
Pay attention to all notices on the beach and speak to
the local lifeguards, or check with your hotel before swimming.
