Environmental authorities around Cabo have been busy.
Working together, PROFEPA and CONANP, successfully conducted their third wildlife rescue in just a matter of days.
A baby dolphin was reported stranded on the beach of El Juncalito, near Loreto.
Thankfully, on inspection it was found that the dolphin was in perfect health, and ready to get back to sea.
The dolphin was released just 900m from where it was originally found. And the authorities were delighted to report that a group of the same species were spotted in the area.
Meaning the dolphin was successfully released back to its natural environment. And re-integrated back to its ‘family group”. Good news all round. Although dolphins are not endangered in Mexico - they are a species “Subject to special protection”
