The race is organized by the Union of Hotels and Service Providers East Cape, The Rotary Club, Sportvision Mexico and the main prize up for grabs are free passes to the Duke City Marathon in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the prospect of being positioned as one of the top 25 in the world.
Proceeds from registrations will be donated to the Rotary Club Los Barriles and will help to fund education, health and support for hostels in the region of the East Cape. The top two male and female runners will receive free passes (priced at $175 per person), meals and accommodation for their trip to the Duke City Marathon which will be held on October 18, 2015.
Registration for the 5 Kilometer race, which is routed between the cities of La Paz and Los Cabos, is still open today, Friday March 13, at Snell Real Estate, Pueblo Square in Los Barriles, in-store at Sportvision Plaza The Shoppe's, in La Paz, and at Sportvision, Puerto Paraiso in Cabo San Lucas. Enrolment is still possible tomorrow, March 14, at the Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort in East Cape.
