Cabo has been a little wet and
windy with high waves and strong currents as Hurricane Hilary continues on her west
north-westerly track through the Pacific.
The port has been closed, water and
fishing activities restricted, plus red and yellow flags placed on most beaches
from Cabo San Lucas, right along the corridor, to San Jose del Cabo.
Yesterday high tides on Medano beach meant
bathers, bars and beach peddlers raced to get off the sand. There was even a
few drops of rain – the first this year…
But it’s not just bathers that
are being urged to take precautions – drivers are too. More rains are expected through Friday (today) which could make roads slippery – not what motorists expect down
here. The official advice is to drive slowly. Or even better, wait until the rain stops.
Watch out for all weather
warnings, After all, it’s almost August – half way through hurricane season...
