Once considered ''Little Bisbee's'' for 12 long years, the 13th annual Los Cabos Offshore Tournament, has finally grown up and will no longer be in the major prize winning shadows of the big money Black and Blue tournament that follows its late October 18-20 date. While it is anticipated the LC Offshore tournament will retain its laid-back, family atmosphere, where teams in year's past, mostly entered the tournament as a precursor, warm-up to the million dollar pay-outs of the Bisbee Black and Blue Tournament; things have definitely changed in 2013.

The Baja California fishing season officially gets underway July 23-27, with Bisbee's East Cape Offshore Tournament in Los Barriles. With an alarming 38 % of the children in Baja California identified with child obesity, the western state of the Republic of Mexico, is moving rapidly with sweeping changes to help radically reduce those high numbers which rank the country as the nation with the highest rate of child obesity in the world. Earlier this year, the Senate of Mexico approved a reform to help in its fight against child obesity.
