Although there is no current
danger of Tropical Storm Fernanda hitting Cabo – it is certainly stirring
things up a bit. Mainly the wind, and the waves.
Since yesterday at noon there
have been weather warning flags on many beaches.
Yellow flag warnings on Medano
and Playa del Amor.
Red flags along the tourist
corridor. Holiday Inn hotel to Costa
Azul in the tourist corridor, in Palmilla, Chilean, Santa Maria, 8 Waterfalls
to the Hotel Riu in Cabo San Lucas
Plus one black flag warning on
Divorce Beach.
As a precautionary measure, Cabo
Port authorities have also placed restrictions on all small boats (less than 12m). Parachutes
and jet skis have also been suspended for now.
Nothing serious is expected to
hit land but the authorities are on alert. Just in case. And so should you be.
Of course, you can still go to the beach.
You may just be a little restricted in some of your activities. But hey - still
beats a boring day at the office….
