Friendly Feds in Cabo

Date Published:

Mexican Gendarmerie staying on in Cabo for now...

Friendly Feds watching over Cabo Wabo!!

If you have been in Cabo recently, you will have seen these guys around.

The suited and booted, armed Gendarmerie, are a special division of the Federal Police. And right now, there are about 300 Gendarmerie agents in the Los Cabos area.

Their role is to reinforce state, city, and municipal forces when the need arises. And to provide ongoing public security.

No need for alarm. They are friendly, approachable guys. And they are just doing their job – helping  keep everyone safe. Tourists and locals alike.

They all speak pretty good English. And are very happy to chat and explain what they are doing here in Cabo. So if you see them, give it a go.

We caught up with them recently, outside of Cabo Wabo. They couldn't have been nicer. And were even happy to pose for a couple of pics!
