New CAPTA centre for tourists in Cabo

Date Published:

Cabo’s new CAPTA centre, set up to protect tourists  safety and well-being, due to open in May

CAPTA – stands for the Centre of Attention and Protection for Tourists. There are only two in all of Mexico. One is in Mexico City, and the other is in Cabo.

If you have been in Cabo recently, you may well have seen the big, new CAPTA building. It’s right at the Marina, next to Captain Tony’s restaurant, and the Pisces Fishing office.  The centre will be a one-stop shop to provide tourists with all sorts of  help and information should they get into any kind of difficulty while they are here in Cabo.

For example, it will help with any kind of police or health emergency. It will deal with any security issues, and provide some consular services. And it also will act as a gateway to other related organisations that work with the tourist sector.

We will keep you posted and provide a full list of services as soon as they become available. The center is due to open towards the end of May.
