Cruise ship high season kicked off yesterday in Cabo with
a triple arrival of vessels.
The ships - Nieuw Amsterdam, Carnival Miracle and
Celebrity Infinity – brought in a combined total of 6900 passengers and over
3000 crew.
And with a total of 21 cruise ships scheduled to arrive
in Cabo throughout October things can only get better. The estimated expenditure
of the 50 000 visitors expected is around 2.7 million pesos.
What a great start to the season!
The Director of Tourism - Karina Corral Raygoza - said local tourist providers, the API, and
hotel and restaurant associations are all working closely together to ensure a
warm welcome to all visitors.
Fingers crossed that the Cabo’s local hospitality, breathtaking
natural beauty, high end luxury hotels and world class restaurants will
encourage them all to return for future vacations.
Around 100 more cruise ships are scheduled to arrive in
Cabo before the end of the year.
