Cabo is all set to be overrun with bikers for the second weekend
in a row!
Just a week after the Harley Davidson Rally, Los Cabos Biker
Week 2017 got off to a great start yesterday. As Baja Riders Club welcomed over 500 bikers at
Pichilingue Port, La Paz to kick off the 3-day event.
Riders have come from Mexico, Canada, the US, and even
Brazil. The event is now its third year, and is growing in popularity each
time.
Jose Garrido, President of Baja Riders motorcycle club,
says the whole idea is to promote Cabo as the perfect destination for motorcycle
tourism. Bikers get to ride through the phenomenal landscapes of BCS,
appreciate the great nature on offer. And of course, pack in plenty of good
food and partying as well!
The bikers had welcome celebrations in La Paz last night.
This morning they head off to Todos Santos-stopping for lunch at the famous
Hotel California, before zooming into Cabo this afternoon.
Partying will continue this evening with a concert from
ska band Nana Pancha. Followed by an afterhours party in one of Cabo’s best
known bars, “Cabo Blu”.
Saturday is a biker’s “beach day”. Relaxing on Medano
Beach, and enjoying a whale trip, before more live music, competitions and dinner
at night. Once again, the afterhours party will be at the famous Cabo Blu.
And you don’t have to be a biker to join in. From 5pm
today bikes will be parked in the Cultural Pavillion for everyone to go take a
look. And entrance to the concert is free.
