The bikers are back in town. As the 8th Harley
Davidson rally kicks off today in Cabo.
More than 500 bikers will congregate in the Cabo San
Lucas Marina today at 12 noon, to hang out and party a bit before heading off tomorrow
at 10am on their spectacular route through Baja California.
After a scenic ride northwards on Thursday they will spend
the first night in La Paz to celebrate at the local carnival. On Friday they
will head for Ciudad Constitucion, then make for Loreto, via the Mission of San
Javier. After arriving in Loreto on Friday night they will celebrate with a big
dinner followed by various bands. Before riding right up to Mulege on Saturday.
As is the tradition,
after traversing the length of the peninsula, the 500 plus bikers will return to
Cabo on Sunday.
The rally is gaining in popularity every year - for Mexican and visiting bikers. And this year
there are over 200 riders from Canada and the US.
Catch the bikers as they ride along their route, or party
with them at the many events that have been organised by bars and restaurants
throughout the peninsula.
