Yesterday saw the start of the Los
Cabos Biker Week 2016 where over 1000 bikers from all over Mexico and the
states congregated at Pichilingue Beach, La Paz to kick off the 3 day event.
Today the bikers will ride from La
Paz’s famous Malecon boardwalk, stopping in Todos Santos for breakfast before
riding on to Cabo San Lucas. They will head straight to the Cabo San Lucas
Marina party. And the partying will continue this evening with more live music and
food at the Marina before hitting the downtown bars.
After a spot of whale watching
tomorrow the bikers will ride on to San Jose on the last leg of their journey. On
arrival they are expected to take part in a photo and video shoot for a TV
programme before heading off to a massive beach party.
Jorge Garrido, President of Baja Riders motorcycle club, thanked the city of Los Cabos for all the support being
provided to keep the whole event safe. Garrido points out that on top of all
the biking everyone is equally as keen to enjoy everything on offer in Los
Cabos - beaches, bars and great food.
The event is now in its second
year and it is hoped it will become an annual fixture in Cabo’s calendar
bringing more economic benefits to the area.
