Just days after a man drowned off Las Cascadas beach, authorities
have this morning announced the drowning of another young man.
The body was
found by surfers, floating in the sea, just off Costa Azul beach. Authorities confirmed
the death and the area has been cordoned off for now.
Details are
not yet known, and the body has not been identified. Although It is suspected
that the young man was a surfer, that was dragged to his death by the stronger than
usual currents.
As we
reported yesterday, most of Cabo’s beaches
- all the way from Cabo San Lucas, along the corridor to San Jose –
remain under warning of red or yellow flags. These flags are NOT for fun. They
are serious weather warnings that may prevent a death, just like this one.
Please be
vigilant. Don’t take any unnecessary risks on the beaches. And please tell
someone - a friend, family, or someone
at your hotel - if you are heading to the beach, or to do any water activities.
Costa Azul
beach is known as a “surfers paradise” -
and is the best place for surfing in Los Cabos during the summer months.
If you are a surfer and haven't yet booked your summer vacation, perhaps it's time to get down here to Cabo - a true surfers paradise.
