Cabo Lifeguards play it safe

Date Published:

San Diego Firefighters deliver safety and  rescue training to  160 Lifeguards in Cabo...

Keen to keep Cabo’s Lifeguards up to date with the latest in rescue techniques, Director of the Federal Maritime Zone, last week brought in the San Diego firefighters to deliver special training.

The training involves theory and practice. Giving Cabo’s lifeguards all the skills they need to perform effective prevention and rescue operations.

Blessed with beautiful beaches, Cabo has also to contend with strong, sometimes treacherous currents. And high winds at certain times of year. Tourists are often seduced by the beauty, and tempted to overlook safety warnings. Pease don’t.  Pay heed to what the lifeguards advise. The water really can be dangerous.

You can expect to see Cabo’s Lifeguards on the following beaches: La Playa del Amor, Médano, Empacadora, Chileno, Santa María, Palmilla and along the tourist corridor.

Enjoy all the sun and fun Cabo has to offer. Just don’t take unnecessary risks in the water.
