The RIU Santa Fe was badly affected by flooding during Hurricane Odile
The prestigious and well-know RIU Hotels & Resorts in Cabo has set reopening dates for its two hotels affected by Hurricane Odile. RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas Hotel will reopen its doors to guests on October 9th and RIU Santa Fe Hotel will reopen just a week later on October 16th.
A few days after the hurricane made landfall the hotel chain’s technical teams began working in the affected area evaluating the damages caused to the hotels. After several days in the field thoroughly inspecting both the interiors and exteriors of the two hotels, architects and engineers from RIU Hotels have determined that both RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas and RIU Santa Fe can return to normal operations in the first weeks of October.
Right now the priority of the entire technical team brought into Los Cabos, as well as the entire RIU Hotels staff, is to help restore normalcy to the destination. The chain will focus its efforts on reopening both hotels as soon as possible so all of its employees can return to work and the tourism sector can return to normal as quickly as possible. RIU is confident that the beauty of the destination and the welcoming hospitality of its people will make for a full and speedy recovery of the area.
