Hurricane Eugene weakens away from Cabo

As predicted Hurricane Eugene continues to weaken well away from Baja California.

But high surf and rip currents remain likely along the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula, and southern California.

A second area of low pressure much further south is causing some showers and thunderstorms. Once again this is all happening several hundred miles off the coast of Mexico. And is not expected to hit land.

The storm will move westward at 10 to 15mph over the next few days.
