First Flights Land At Los Cabos International

Date Published:

Los Cabos International Open for business after Odile

United Airlines, along with most other US carriers, started operating again into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) today October 8th.

The airport was extensively damaged by Hurricane Odile and many felt at the time that the necessary repair work could take months to complete.

However the staff worked non-stop to get the airport ready ahead of the planned date so that flights from the Mexican mainland have in fact being arriving since October 3rd.

Today however was different: today heralds the real opening of the airport as UA 1452 touched down from Houston bringing a full flight of eager tourists back to a very welcoming Los Cabos.

One of the first off the plane was Staci Snider, a New York fashion designer (www.stacisnider.com) .

“ I couldn’t wait to get back to Cabo,” she said “ I had heard all the scare stories but I knew the people down here would pull together to get the job done.”

“What a welcome we got too! Mariachi band, everyone partying, t-shirts being given away…don’t you just love Cabo?”

Yes we do Staci…yes we do!
