The Municipality of Los Cabos to aid recovery of Real
Estate.
As part of the fiscal stimulus to support the taxpayers of
the municipality of Los Cabos in the wake of Hurricane Odile, mayor José
Antonio Agúndez Montaño proposed to keep the cadastral table unchanged to
encourage the housing market.
The initiative is intended to hold the existing values at
the same levels throughout the year 2015, which means no increase in Property
Taxes for Los Cabos property owners in the coming year. This measure will benefit over 114,000
families in Los Cabos.
The municipality is offering a number of economic incentives
to support families and businesses affected by Hurricane Odile such as 100% discount
on property tax surcharge (to expire on December 31, 2014)
Real Estate is one of the most important industries in Los
Cabos and these type of incentives are much appreciated by the community.
