The windy weather that in recent weeks has been affecting both local fishing and tourist activities in Cabo San Lucas Bay looks set to continue. High winds have been reaching up to 25km per hour while waves have been up to 5m.
Despite the affect on local industry, harbour master, Vicente Martinez, intends to prevent unnecessary risks and warns he will keep restrictions in place as long as necessary. ".. local activities must not be carried out under conditions which are unsuitable. This sometimes affects the economy, and the profits of tourism service providers may be affected, but it will never be justification for endangering the life of a person".
Cabo San Lucas must be recognised as a safe port for everyone.
