Restrictions on navigation continue in Cabo San Lucas
because of a low pressure system, tropical depression 11 E, located west
southwest of Baja California Sur.
On Monday waves of up to two meters high and stronger than
normal winds were recorded said Vicente Martínez, head of the Port of Cabo San
Lucas.
"The conditions near shore and on beaches are dangerous,
there are close to 2 meters waves."
Water recreation activities like kayaks, jet skis, rowing
and parachuting are suspended for the time being, and navigation is allowed
only with caution 150 meters from the coast.
"Navigation is feasible but now if far from the
beaches, as rip-currents caused by this type of sea are dangerous for any marine
activity," he added.
Port conditions will remain unstable for at least 24 hours
and minor squalls are forecast for Tuesday morning.
