Spectacular Views Today in Cabo San Lucas With Tornado Forming

An apparent Tornado that appeared in Cabo San Lucas during the afternoon hours of Sunday, October 13, and was captured for posterity in photo and video, and appeared to induce mild panic in this southern Baja California vacation paradise city, vanished and was gone just as quickly as it was seen looming on the horizon of the Pacific Ocean; bringing mild sprinkles of rain and not much of anything else. An exact sighting of what turned out to be a very harmless tornado, was registered by a few locals at 10:40 a.m.; while others reported and recorded the event a few minutes later. The momentary phenomenon was the first in Los Cabos since an equally mild tornado hit the area back on October 2, 2009, which caused the San Jose del Cabo International Airport to close, and inflicted only minor damage to small pockets of this tourism-dependent, happy community. ''It was pouring rain all along the corridor,'' said Marco Sanabria, who works at the airport in San Jose del Cabo and had to deal with the incoming rainfall on his way home.
