Superbowl in Cabo

Date Published:

The Superbowl is this Sunday 1st February and if you’re an NFL junkie you’re surely salivating already. Mexico may be the land of futbol (that’s soccer for those of you north of the border) but that doesn’t mean they don’t love their futbol Americano too.

Besides, Cabo is a vacation destination. Bars and restaurants know you need your football fix. So if you’re the fanatic described above or if you just don’t want to miss THE big Sunday game, it’s of vital importance to know where to catch it. Yes ladies, even while on vacation in Cabo. Our apologies to all the wives and girlfriends, unless of course you’re supporting your team too!

If you don’t want to stray far from the beach and your resort, make sure you’re aware of their capabilities well in advance of game time. Some resorts have limited feeds, Spanish-only broadcasts or not enough televisions to go round.

Decided to head into town on Sunday? Unless there’s a conflicting Chivas vs. America futbol match, almost all bars and restaurants will have the game on.

Locations in downtown Cabo San Lucas with multiple TVs and satellite feeds include Cabo Cantina, Cabo Blue and Rockstone. Mango Deck on Medano beach and Mango Cantina on the marina also has Sunday NFL. In the Puerto Paraiso Mall in Cabo you will find that Baja Brewing Company and the Harley Davidson Bar and Grill will have football on. Ramuri brew pub and restaurant has plenty of HD screens upstairs.

If all else fails, simply stroll through town or the marina and find a place you like that has the game on, or ask the waiter if he can change the channel.
