The Guide to Spring Break in Cabo is Here

Date Published:
Los Cabos Spring Break Guide Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are totally different towns, San Jose being a quiet and more reserved town while Cabo is party central for almost all college students. Here at iCabo there is scope for all so we have produced this guide to help Spring Breakers get the very best out of their trip to this little part of paradise. Arriving in Los Cabos All flights from the USA land at Los Cabos International Airport. There is a straightforward and easy procedure to get through the Immigration (please check that you have the right documentation ready and completed: immigration card and customs form, and do not forget your passport!). Once you clear Immigration you can go get your bags from the carousel and then clear customs. In the old terminal building this can often involve another line so please be patient. You will have to have your bags screened and checked by x-ray, and at times sniffer dogs work through the bag hall, then you will be asked to press a button by a customs official: a green light means you can go and red means that they will perform a physical bag search. From there you will pass through into the main arrival lobby and you will be immediately accosted by friendly but insistent time-share sellers and other hawkers looking to engage you in conversation. This is perfectly normal and there is a real buzz in the room. If you don’t want what they are offering, just be firm but polite. You get more with a smile and a “No gracias!” after all. Depending on your tour arrangements you will either meet up right away with your guide or perhaps head to the car hire desks and taxi/shuttle bus services. The shuttle buses are the least expensive way of getting to the resorts, however it is worth knowing that if you are staying in Cabs San Lucas town itself you will be last off and the ride can take over an hour! Many Spring Breakers arriving in Los Cabos typically head for WalMart in San Lucas or the Mega in San Jose del Cabo, where they can buy beer and liquor at budget prices: ''Let's hurry up and get what we came for so we can hit the beach,'' said someone in a group of four young guys. ''Beer and water, right?'' replied one of his buddies, while another added, ''Beer and cheap water.'' Welcome to Cabo!
