Date Published:
With over 20 years experience teaching languages and history, Spanish in Cabo S.A de C.V., is an impressive company whose website of the same name (spanishincabo.com) offers everyone many unique options to learn Spanish in Cabo. At their San Jose del Cabo offices, they have 8 professional teachers on site for classes that range from individual, one on one sessions, to small group study courses. The facility and their intimate Spanish language learning services, have been available in Los Cabos since 2008. ''Our Vision was to establish ourselves as the best school for young people and adults in Cabo that would allow non-Spanish speaking residents to achieve Spanish as a second language in order to obtain linguistic insertion within the local community,'' said Eduardo Satorno; one of the principals. Adding that it's the company's mission to spread the use of Spanish in an area where many American and Canadian people have chosen to retire. Anyone wishing to learn Spanish at this great institution can do so in a variety of ways, beginning with the school's Survival Spanish Program, which is a 30 hour segment broken down in short, hour and a half sessions. These quick doses of learning Spanish are geared to helping students communicate in particular situations. The school also offers private online classes via Skype, with one of their teachers, allowing people to learn the Mexican language from the comfort of their own home. Group online classes are also available through their video conference SJD facility and twice a week the school's classes that are offered in Cabo San Lucas. Carol McKee Marquee, a San Francisco middle English school teacher with a Masters in Education specializing in ESL, said, ''Throughout the USA, there has been a large influx of Spanish-speaking immigrants. I recently committed myself to learning Spanish in order to better serve my newcomer immigrant population. Learning Spanish through computer programs at community college was not enough, so I came to Cabo to take classes in Spanish. There is no quicker or better way to learn a language than through complete immersion and this school helped me advance my language skills; both swiftly and effectively. I can now hold simple conversations, have more-than-adequate survival Spanish as well as a good linguistic foundation. I plan to continue my studies with SpanishinCabo.com online.'' Their Situational Spanish Program teaches the most basic fundamental words in regards to grocery shopping, dining out, and communicating with locals on a daily basis. This course can be completed in less than one week with simple, two to three hour classes. The school also provides a free newsletter available online, where students can learn about Cabo, Mexico, and Latin America.
