Sick Sealion In Marina

Date Published:

Another sick sea lion has shown up at the marina in Cabo San Lucas. The sea lion was photographed at the edge of the fuel dock in the marina lying listlessly. Local fishermen explained that when the animal was touched it moaned as if in pain.

The animal has been hanging around for a few days and there is an attempt being made to have the authorities try to rescue and treat the animal.

The animal is not the famous “Pancho” which follows the fishing boats as they return to the marina, begging for leftover baits and increasingly becoming bold enough to snatch even large fish from unwary anglers. In one classic move Pancho grabbed a trophy tuna that would have been worth $7000 in the fishing competition the angler was entered in!

This classic video shows him in action grabbing a nice dorado.
