Two senior citizens of 74 and 79 years old worked as a team
to land a huge blue marlin of 773lbs on Tuesday.
The fish was caught aboard the Mucho Loco out of Cabo San
Lucas and took over 5 hours to bring to the boat, a not inconsiderable feat for
the two un-named anglers given their age.
The same day, another boat, Bad Medicine, landed another marlin
which tipped the scale at 683lbs.
The lucky angler, Kevin Lautt, from North Dakota, said “This
is my first time in Cabo and my first time deep-sea fishing. The biggest fish
I’ve ever caught is a 15-pound northern pike.”
These are unusual catches at this time of year however it
all goes to cement Cabo’s position as the premier marlin fishing destination in
the world.
