Richard Sandoval, the renowned Mexican chef and restauranteur
who has raised the bar on Mexican food around the world, recently opened his
second restaurant in Cabo – La Biblioteca de Tequila.
Famous for his concept restaurants, La Biblioteca is modelled
on his New York City concept (La Biblioteca NYC) and serves up a collection of
his rare and personal favorite tequilas plus a menu of Mexican-inspired
cuisine.
Reaching back to his culinary roots, Sandoval created La
Biblioteca to introduce the world to signature authentic Mexican flavours and
traditional dishes that he grew up enjoying in Mexico City.
Tourism Director Daniel Uribe Pedraza comments – “the
presence of such upscale restaurants and famous chefs like Sandoval helps
increase the gastronomic appeal of Cabo and further establish it as a high
quality destination. As well as sun, sand, sea and golf Cabo has a significant gastronomic
offering for tourists.”
Sandoval opened his first Cabo restaurant, Toro in October
in 2015 - a gastro bar at the Esperanza Resort. At Toro, he masterfully blends
Pan Latin cuisine with South American, Japanese and Chinese influences.
His restaurant group, Richard Sandoval Restaurants, now
boasts over 35 concepts all over the U.S., Mexico, Dubai, Qatar, and Serbia,
and was recently named by Restaurant Hospitality as one of the “25 Coolest
Multi-Concept Companies”.
La Biblioteca de Tequila is located in the Hotel of the Breathless
Luxury Resort, Cabo San Lucas. A “must try” if you are in town.
