Cabo is most likely to be hit with rains rather than
serious storms. So no need to panic.
The tropical cyclone in the Pacific that we reported on
yesterday is now approximately 350 miles southwest of Manzanillo .
Now named tropical depression TWELVE-E, at present it is a well defined low pressure system with
showers and thunderstorms. With upper level wind conditions continuing to
improve, a tropical depression will probably form on Friday night while the system
moves northwestwards. The National Hurricane Centre say there is a 90% chance
of this happening.
Basically this means moderate rains for Cabo and BCS –
most likely from the 19-25 August. And waves in Cabo could rise up to 1.5m.
Certainly doesn’t sound like
anything too serious. But we will keep you posted.
