As a tropical depression forms to the southwest of the Baja the
Meteorological experts are warning that its effects could cause occasional
torrential rains in Baja California Sur and other states of the Mexican
Northwest, with winds well above 45 k/ hr and waves up to 2.5 meters off the
coast.
The low pressure currently has sustained winds of 35 km/hr
and gusts of 45 km/hr, and has a 70% chance of becoming a hurricane in the next
48 hours.
Rainfall accumulations may reach 40 millimeters at certain
points between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas so the current high
rainfall does not seem to be likely to end anytime soon.
