The State Commission for Protection against Health Risks
(Coepris) BCS has guaranteed clean beaches for this Easter Holiday.
"The guarantee is that our beaches are clean, we can go
with confidence to recess, to bathe, to use them," said Dr. Alvarado
Rodríguez, adding that the State Laboratory of Public Health confirmed the
quality of water in 36 points including La Paz, Loreto, and El Chileno, El
Tule, Palmilla, Costa Azul, San Carlos, Medano and Santa María in Los Cabos.
Dr. Alvarado Rodriguez explained that "the water could
itself become contaminated by some bathers," but said that two weeks after
the holiday resampling will be done, reiterating that the beaches in BCS are
generally "without any problems."
He also referred to the review in food establishments, about
8,000 have registered with Coepris throughout the Middle Peninsula.
In BCS there are 16,000 establishments verified by Coepris including
restaurants, offices, pharmacies, grocery stores, beauty salons, studios
tattoos and piercings and others, which are checked for standards annually.
