Possible storms for Cabo

Date Published:

It’s not yet definite, so don't panic,  but there may be a few more storms heading towards Cabo...

The National Hurricane Center has reported a tropical cyclone currently forming in the Pacific Ocean. And it has a 50% chance of hitting Baja California Sur in the next 5 days.

At the moment it is an area of low pressure, located about 430 miles south-southwest of Manzanillo , producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.  Upper-level winds may help to move it northwestwards over the next few days.

This could translate late into rains in La Paz and Los Cabos from around the 19 to 25 August. With San Jose del Cabo most likely to be hit with the heaviest rains reaching upto 40mm.

But like we said – this is by no means definite. And it may blow itself out and not reach land at all.

Watch this spot - we will post regular updates over the next couple of days.
