Another high end luxury hotel resort for Cabo as Grand Vela
Los Cabos announces it will be opening its doors in November.
Part of the family-owned Grand Velas brand, the hotel will
be the only luxury all-inclusive resort in the area with stunning location facing
the Gulf of California.
It will have 360 spacious suites of over 1000 sq ft, 5
fine dining restaurants with internationally renowned chefs, and wonderful facilities
with every imaginable service including: beach and pool concierge service, an exercise
and wellness center, a luxury spa, teen and kid activity programs. Plus a full business convention center that
will be open from March.
To bring it up to par with the two sister resorts - Grand Velas Riveria Maya and Grand Velas Riviera
Nayarit - Grand Velas Los Cabos is expected to apply for
AAA 5 Diamonds and Leading Hotels recognition.
President of the Hotel Association of Los Cabos (AHLC),
Enrique Turcott, says that the AHLC is delighted to have the exclusive Grand Velas brand coming to Cabo. He believes it places Cabo even more firmly on the list
of exclusive global tourist destinations.
And in order to maintain the high quality demanded by
such an exclusive brand, Turcott has stressed the importance of constant,
ongoing training for staff - " we are
not just competing with national destinations such as Puerto Vallarta, Cancun,
but with other countries such as France, Spain, and the United States. And with
destinations such as the Bahamas, Hawaii and the Caribbean, so you have to keep
this training destined to one hundred percent.”
Grand Velas Los Cabos is looking to hire well trained local
people to provide these high-end tourist services. And Turcott says that the AHLC,
along with the union CROC are working together to help provide all the necessary
training and development.
The resort is situated on the edge of Chileno Bay facing
the famous Cabo Arch. It is only 15 mins from San Jose del Cabo and about 30
mins from the airport.
