Shooting for a new Mexican movie and a soap opera is to begin in February on locations in and around La Paz and Los Cabos.
The movie, Road to Mars (Camino a Marte), directed by Humberto Hinojosa and starring the likes of Luis Gerardo Mendez and Camila Sodi, will be shot from Tjuana through to famous parts of La Paz. Shooting is scheduled from early February to March.
And recently broadcast on Channel 2, the new telenovela , A Path to the Destination (Un camino hacia el destino) is due to film in famous Los Cabos locations including El Arco de Cabo San Lucas , the Playa del Amor , and the center of Cabo San Lucas. Shooting will take plce from mid February.
Genaro Ruiz, the State Tourism Secretary, said these projects are a great opportunity to promote the natural beauty of the area and to inject more money into the local economy.
