The Tourism Ministry is planning a Metrobus service from San
Jose International Airport(SJD) to Cabo San Lucas, which would shorten travel
times and improve passenger safety.
The mayor of Los Cabos, Antonio Agúndez Montano, recently met
with the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Tourism Policy of the Ministry of
Tourism, José Salvador Sánchez Estrada, to discuss the project in detail.
Accompanied by the head of the Municipal Planning Institute,
Horacio González Andujo, the Deputy Mayor gave a presentation of progress on the
scheme by the municipal administration with regard to” Integral Sustainable
Urban Mobility Plan” within the “Urban Development Plan 2040”.
The Mayor said that his government will provide the
necessary resources to make the project a reality and benefit tourism in Los
Cabos, but particularly to benefit local people and tourists.
