Cabo is already living up to its golf destination of the year
award – as Danzante’s 17th hole tipped to become the most photographed in the world – “Due
to the mix of natural beauty and unique design” says Sixto Navarro, manager of
Hotel Villa del Palmar, in Loreto.
That is what happens when you combine the talents of
a top notch golf architect - Rees jones – with the overwhelming natural
beauty of the location - the island of Loreto.
Danzante Bay is the first course Jones has designed in Mexico. And there was a
lot of excitement just a couple of weeks ago when the first eleven holes
opened. The full layout opens in
November 2018. And everyone is already talking about it. Especially the riveting
17th hole.
As Golf Travel Weekly puts it - “The
par-3, 17th hole at Danzante Bay Golf Club is truly captivating — ascending a
hill to get to the multiple tee positions set along a rock outcropping elevated
above the waiting target. The first impression is overwhelming to the senses - the sea of Cortez shimmering with islands of
land in the distance."
Really, what more do all your golfers need to make you pick
up your sticks and get down here. Cabo wasn’t voted the Golf Destination of the
Year for nothing…
