For the second year running the Don Sanchez restaurant in San Jose del Cabo will present the Mango Festival.
The whole idea of the mango festival is to present different and exciting ways of preparing and eating mangoes, one of Mexico’s favourite fruits, while raising money for charity.
Five locally renowned chefs will be on hand to present their signature mango dishes, desserts and drinks. And visitors will be encouraged to sample everything.
The chefs in question are all from popular local restaurants and are: Pia Quintana of La Lupita; Guillermo Téllez of Flora's Farm; Oscar Torres of Acre; Tadd Chapman from Grupo Chapman, and Javier Galindo from Don Sánchez.
Tickets costs 999 pesos and includes two drinks and the opportunity to try all four food stations. Plus two for wine and dessert.
The event was a big success last year. And is expected to be even better this year. Tickets are limited so make sure. you get there quick.
Twenty percent of the proceeds will be used to buy glucometers for Municipal DIF senior disability program.
San Jose del Cabo is a beautiful little town and well worth a visit.
Full of colonial buildings, lovely restaurants, and a more laid back atmosphere that Cabo San Lucas, it has much more of an old-time Mexican feel to it. So much so, that it is currently being assessed to acquire "Pueblo Magico" status.
