Almost
all national and international air services have now been restored to Los Cabos
International Airport (SJD) according to a spokesperson.
The
transformation of the airport form the devastation of Odile (above) to being
fully operational has been one of the key aspects of the recovery program to
Los Cabos. With most hotels, restaurants, bars and activities all open, the
only ingredient was tourists to ensure the town recovered post Odile and the
airport was critical to that.
The
first national flights started arriving October 3rd with the first
international flights coming in October 8th. Since then the town has
been filling rapidly with tourists enjoying our perfect weather and taking
advantages of some of the best ever deals and packages available in Los Cabos.
Many
visitors are amazed at the progress that has been made: “You would hardly
believe there had been a storm,” said Vaughn from Houston, “I seen the mess
that Katrina left in New Orleans man, maybe we should have got the Mexican government
in there to sort that out too!”
There
can be no doubt: Cabo is back and Cabo is strong.
