“What?! You’re going to Mexico?!” If you share with friends and neighbors that you’re planning a trip to Cabo, you may well hear these words. They’re overreacting, aren’t they? But if you watch enough nightly news you too might start wondering about safety in Cabo. It is Mexico after all, and they say it isn’t safe, right? Who wants to put their loved ones in danger? I moved from New Jersey to Cabo a decade ago to work in tourism, and in the past few years, I’ve heard it a million times. It’s understandable to be nervous. With all the media attention it has become impossible to ignore. So let’s get right down to it: Will you be safe in Cabo? You may have heard it before, but let’s go back to basics.
