Tropical storm Blanca continues to develop in the Easter
Pacific and is expected to become a major hurricane in the next 48 hours. Current
wind speeds are of the order of 50mph but that seems likely to strengthen.
At this time the storm has stalled and is not expected to
move too far to the north in the next few days however the situation is fluid
thereafter.
The National Hurricane Center is predicting a storm track that could bring
the storm close to the tip of the Baja by Saturday June 6th although
there are NO WARNINGS OR SPECIAL ADVISORIES in force at this time.
Residents and tourists should keep an eye on this storm as
it develops over the next few days and we will of course publish updated reports
immediately they become available.
