The hurricane which last night was being marked by some as a
Category 3 has now dropped in intensity and maximum sustained winds are circa
100mph. The forecast is for this trend to continue and for high altitude winds
to further diminish the power of the storm as it approaches landfall by
tomorrow.
Heavy rain is forecast to affect mainland Mexico but the
continuing worry for Los Cabos is high surf and swells which may impact the
Tuna Jackpot tournament. That opens tomorrow with over 100 teams ready to go
out and compete on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully the system will have blown through by then.
The picture should be clearer later today and we will post
updates as soon as they are available.
