Ohana Real
Estate Investors yesterday unveiled plans for a Fred Couples Signature Golf
Course and Twin Dolphin Golf Club within its development in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The 18-hole course
will feature views of the Sea of Cortez from its perched location within
Ohana's 1,400-acre master planned community on the Golden Corridor between San
Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.
The course
will be available to residential owners at Maravilla Los Cabos, Montage Los
Cabos, and future residential areas within the master plan.
This will be
the first Fred Couples course in Los Cabos and the target opening date is 2018.
Couples will design the course in collaboration with Todd Eckenrode of Origins
Golf Design.
"Our
aim is to build a world-class course that is unparalleled in Cabo with regard
to conservation," said Alex Hill of Ohana. "The course will utilize a
state-of-the-art reverse osmosis desalination plant being built to serve the
entire master plan, and we are working with the design team to implement native
landscaping and other design elements that will support our conservation
efforts."
