The much coveted 5 star rating from Forbes Travel Guide is this
year awarded to two Los Cabos hotels - Esperanza and Las Ventanas al Paraíso.
The Forbes Guides currently cover hotels in 29 countries
across America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The guide books are purchased
across the globe and are highly regarded. To have two such highly rated hotel
listed is further testament to Cabos as a fully recovered luxury tourist
destination.
Esperanza, an Auberge Resort, is fresh from a top-to-bottom
revamp after 2014’s Hurricane Odile, Major standout features — like the palapa-topped
spa and the gorgeous tiered cliffside restaurant, Cocina del Mar, remain
immediately recognizable. Whilst others — like the multi-tiered oceanfront pool
— have emerged better than ever.
Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort has been the last
of Cabos luxury hotels to reopen after 2014’s Hurricane Odile. Wonderfully restored to a very high standard.
At first glance the resort appears almost like an oasis in
the middle of a desert. Yet it looks out on the sparkling Sea of Cortez. Dotted
with succulent cacti and other native plants, the Mediterranean-Mexican-style
buildings blend into the desert landscape, and its winding infinity pools seems
to disappear into the ocean.
Only 6 hotels in Mexico have earned this award. So if you’ve
ever wondered what it’s like to live like a celebrity while on vacation - try either of these.
