A Family Spring Break: Avoiding the Pitfalls

What does spring break meant to you? Your answer may not be the same as the next reader’s. Some of that may have to do with your age, but nothing will shape your opinion more than whether or not you are a parent. If you have small children, your spring break choices will not be the same as a college kid. That doesn’t mean you don’t need to get away. With the weather this winter, you’ve probably suffered long enough. The days have been short, dark and cold. The commute to work has turned into a nightmare, forcing you to leave earlier each day just to get to work on time, navigating snow, ice and other drivers in hopes of avoiding a car accident. It seems like the kids are busier than ever with homework, tests and sports. Sometimes it feels like you barely have time to talk to each other despite living under the same roof. But it’s okay. You push on because spring break is almost here.
