Executive Symposium for Innovators in Coastal Development

The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Resort/Hotel will be host of a three day Innovators Symposium, occurring May 15-18, 2013. The gala event is the Executive Symposium for Innovators in Coastal Development. A bilingual gathering in Los Cabos, Mexico that will bring together 150 innovators currently involved in designing, financing, constructing and operating socially and environmentally sustainable coastal tourism developments. The festivities and idea are the brainchild of the organization, CREST; The Center for Responsible Travel. An non-profit agency with offices in both Washington, DC and at Stanford University; which hosted the first innovators symposium in 2010 at their Palo Alto, California campus of higher learning. CREST is attempting to promote their mission of advocating responsible tourism policies and practices globally, so local communities may thrive while also protecting their areas cultural resources and biodiversity. ''The CREST Conference redefines what is truly meaningful in responsible tourism today,'' said Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Outpost & Island Records.
