Costco being systematically emptied after Odile
Many are familiar with the above photograph which showed some of the more unsavory scenes after Odile.
Taken at face value it would seem that the store was being looted - however other sources state unequivocally that Costco actually opened their doors to local people who were in need. We're not so sure "need" included flat screen TVs of course, however no matter the instigation, the outcome was the same: Costco was cleaned out.
Originally the store was suggesting that it would be November earliest before it could open however today there was a large banner seen flying outside saying that the opening has been pushed forward to October 29th.
Welcome news to the many locals, tourists and ex-pats that relied on this store for the essentials of life!
