Cheryl Burke on sunshine break to Cabo... after confirming
that she has quit Dancing With The Stars
Cheryl Burke has treated herself to relaxing vacation with
her boyfriend, JT Torregiani, after revealing that she has quit her role as
professional dancer in “Dancing With The Stars”
The pair were pictured soaking up the sun rays in Cabo on
Wednesday, Cheryl wearing a multi-coloured bandeau bikini as she lounged in the
sun with her partner.
Dancing With The Star will celebrate its tenth anniversary
and 20th season next year without Burke, who has been on the show since season
two.
Speaking to “TheWrap”, executive producer Rob Wade said:
‘Cheryl has been on the show for close to 10 years.
‘She has done a great service to the show and I think she
feels that it's time for her to move on.’
Burke's contract reportedly expired when the series'
nineteenth season concluded earlier this week and she admitted in September
that the latest edition would probably be her last in order for her to try new
challenges.
Rob Wade added: ‘We'll only survive as a show if we keep
innovating and changing. It's very sad to see cast members leave, but again
that gives you the opportunity to grow.
‘So, I'm quite positive about having the opportunity to
bring new people in or bring back some of the old faces," Wade said of the
ability to highlight other pro dancers.’
Cheryl won the her first trophy on the show with 98 Degrees
star, Drew Lachey, in the second season before winning it again with retired
athlete Emmitt Smith in the third season.
All smiles: Cheryl wrote to fans, 'Good morning, from Cabo!
