La Paz’s 6 days of Carnival drew to a close last night with the
performance of “Banda Carnaval” as thousands gathered in the streets to sing
along.
The six days of partying were a tremendous success with
thousands taking part in the festivities and events.
Highlights included the traditional burning of the “Bad Mood”,
the crowning of the carnival King and Queen, 3 nights of street parades, and lots
of local singers and performers. Many famous Mexican comedians and bands also featured
- Teo González, Los Angeles Azules, Ha Ash, Napoleon, and El Tri.
The event was organized by the the Municipal Institute of
Culture, and was made possible with the sponsorship and support of many local
businesses and various government agencies.
