As the first quarter of 2016
closes with tourist numbers looking good, Cabo’s director of Tourism pushes to establish
direct flights to Brazil.
As part of international
expansion Ruben Reacho Logi is keen to establish a foothold in the South
America market. At present it is Brazilians who are most likely to head for
Cabo. Interest was sparked by recent fashion and advertising campaigns shot at Cabo’s
famous El Arco and publicised widely on social networks.
Now Brazilians are by
far the biggest majority of South American tourists to Cabo.Reachi Logi sees huge potential
in Brazil and believes that direct flights will help secure the current influx
of visitors.
He also remains focused on growing
and maintaining Cabo’s existing markets - “our main market is still the United
States with 60%, followed by the domestic market with 25%, followed by Canada.
And we will continue with strategies in England and Australia”.
Jetblue Airlines are expanding the American market with direct flights
between Los Angeles and Cabo already scheduled. And from March Air Calafia will be growing the
domestic market with direct flights between Los Cabos and Leon.
